ToeJam and Earl: Back in the Groove, developed by 22nd Century Software, is an adventure game available on Nintendo Switch. The game is a revival of the OG ToeJam and Earl games, which were known for their hip-hop infused rogue-like gameplay.

The game's storyline involves ToeJam and Earl crash landing on Earth and having to protect themselves against dangerous Earthlings while searching for the lost pieces of the Rapmaster Rocketship. The game can be played with up to three friends either online or through couch co-op. Players can discover secret locations, powerful tools, and funky power-ups while exploring the game's randomly generated stacked levels.

ToeJam and Earl: Back in the Groove features nine playable characters, including ToeJam and Earl, Latisha, Lewanda, GeekJam, Peabo, and Earl's mom, Flo. The game also includes 15 remakes of old favorite songs and 15 new songs in the same funky style. The dynamic split-screen feature allows for couch co-op play, and online play supports up to four players. Additionally, the game includes new presents, Earthlings, player character stats, character-specific dialogue, permanent power-hats, and many features that enhance cooperative play, making it the best ToeJam & Earl game yet.
